Luxury watch specialists analyzed the number of watch brands’ hashtags on Instagram to see which brands are the most popular and influential on the social media app. It found that Rolex is the world’s most popular watch on Instagram, with Rolex watches totaling a whopping 2,497,606 hashtags. Instagram users have used the Rolex watch hashtag more than 1.8 million times. The company was founded more than 100 years ago and released its first watch in 1926. The “Oyster” model was patented and sold as the world’s first waterproof watch, which is still influential today. Many models have been released, each one embodying the brand’s luxury.
A spokesperson for Chrono24.com commented: “Watches are an effective way to complement the style and are sometimes used as statement pieces to emulate success, with many using social media to show off their luxury watches.
